The Swedish composer Sam Rydberg (1885-1956) composed all kinds of music, even film music. However he was a military musician for many years and ended his career as a military bandmaster. He remained famous as the composer of about 70 marches. We have already published his famous concert march 'Italia' and now we present 'Under fredsfanan' (Under the Banner of Peace), a lively march composed in 1939.

Le compositeur suédois Sam Rydberg (1885-1956) a composé de la musique de tout genre, y compris de la musique de film. Durant une grande partie de sa vie, il a été musicien militaire pour devenir finalement chef de musique. Il est surtout connu pour ses quelques 70 marches. Après la marche de concert 'Italia' que nous avons déjà éditée, voici 'Under fredsfanan' ou 'Sous l'Etendard de la Paix', une marche entrainante qui date de 1939.

De Zweedse componist Sam Rydberg (1885-1956) componeerde alle genres muziek, inclusief filmmuziek. Hij was echter jarenlang militair muzikant en tenslotte ook militair kapelmeester. Hij dankt zijn roem hoofdzakelijk aan zijn 70 marsen. Na de reeds eerder door ons uitgegeven bekende concertmars 'Italia' is hier nu 'Under fredsfanan' of 'Onder het vredesvaandel', een pittige mars uit 1939.
