Divertimento for Winds and Percussion

Divertimento for Winds and Percussion Roger Cichy

Written as a tribute to Copland, Bernstein and Gershwin. It is divided into four separate movements: Exaltation, Follies, Remembrance and Salutation.
This composition is rhythmically challenging. It has many meter changes and a key signature of C, but with many accidentals throughout. A harp part is included, but may be played by a piano or synthesizer. It has been recorded by the North Texas Wind Symphony conducted by Eugene Coporon on a CD entitled "Tributes".
