"In memory of Slava" komponiert, ist auch dieses Stück anlässlich des Kronberger Cello Festivals im Oktober 2007 in Erinnerung an Mstislv Rostropovitch uraufgeführt worden. Überraschende Wirkung entfaltet das Auftreten der Alt-Blockflöte, die erst relativ spät in das musikalische Geschehen eingreift und so dem Stück eine unkonventionelle, ganz besondere Note verleiht.

Composée "à la mémoire de Slava", cette pièce a été, elle aussi, jouée à la mémoire de Mstislav Rostropovitch dans le cadre du Festival de violoncelle de Kronberg. L'intervention inattendue et relativement tardive de la flûte à bec alto ajoute une note non conventionnelle et tout à fait particulière à la pièce.
