Now available in octavo format too! Based on the new edition as part of Wagner's Complete Edition, the first critical edition of the score, Die Walküre, like Rheingold and Götterdämmerung, is now also available as large pocket score. The new edition is based on the sources used for the printing, i.e. the first print of the score and the engraver's copy. Fortunately, the latter still is extant today. At the end of the first Bayreuth Festival in autumn 1876, Wagner gave it to the violinist Friedhold Fleischhauer from Meiningen, the first violinist of the Ring orchestra apart from August Wilhelmj. For 125 years, the document was privately owned before it was made accessible to the public for the first time in 1999.

Basée sur la nouvelle édition critique dans le cadre de la Nouvelle édition des oeuvres complètes de Wagner, La Walkyrie est maintenant disponible en partition de poche grand format, de même que L'Or du Rhin et que Le Crépuscule des dieux. La nouvelle édition repose sur les sources utilisées pour la mise à l'impression, c'est-à-dire la première édition de la partition d'orchestre et le modèle de gravure. En effet, par bonheur, ces derniers existent encore. A la fin du premier festival de Bayreuth en automne 1876, Wagner les offrit au violoniste de Meiningen Friedhold Fleischhauer, 1er violoniste de l'orchestre du Ring avec August Wilhelmj. Ce document resta 125 ans en possession privée avant de devenir accessible pour la première fois en 1999.
