The Warsaw Concerto is a one movement piano concerto, composed as an important element for the 1941 film Dangerous Moonlight, and written by British composer, Richard Addinsell. The film's producers wanted a piano work in the style of Sergei Rachmaninov's 'Rhapsody and Variations on the Theme of Paganinni, or his 2nd or 3rd piano concerto, but were not able to get the rights for these compositions for their film, or able to get Rachmaninov himself to write a new piece. The first performance was on 26th June 1941 when the film premiered in the United Kingdom. Willy Hautvast has made a masterful arrangement for Harmony Orchestra.

Le Concerto Warsaw est un concerto pour piano en un seul mouvement, écrit comme ingrédient important du film Dangerous Moonlight de l'année 1941. Le concerto était écrit par le compositeur Brittanique Richard Addinsell. Les producteurs du film voulaient un oeuvre pour piano dans le style de la Rhapsodie de Sergei Rachmaninov sur un thème de Paganini, ou dans le style du 2ième ou 3ième concerto du même compositeur. Pourtant ils n'étaient pas en mesure de lui faire écrire une pièce ou de faire mettre à disposition une composition existante. On peut considérer comme date de première audition le 26 juin 1941, quand le film passait pour la 1ère fois au Royaume-Uni. Willy Hautvast a fait un arrangement magistral pour Harmonie.

Het Warsaw Concerto is een eendelig pianoconcert, geschreven als belangrijk ingrediënt van de film Dangerous Moonlight uit 1941. Het concert werd door de Britse componist Richard Addinsell geschreven. De filmproducenten wilden een pianowerk in de stijl van Sergei Rachmaninovs Rapsodie op een thema van Paganini of van diens tweede of derde pianoconcert, maar ze waren niet in staat om Rachmaninof zelf een stuk te laten schrijven of een bestaande compositie ter beschikking te stellen voor hun film. De eerste uitvoering kan geplaatst worden op 26 juni 1941 toen de film ging draaien in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Willy Hautvast maakte een meesterlijke bewerking voor Harmonie orkest.
