Hot Toddy is a so-called evergreen in the bigband repertoire. Composer Ralph Flanagan (1914 1995) himself was a successful bandleader in the United States of America. The piece was very popular and was also regularly performed by several famous bands such as the Glenn Miller Band. A fine characteristic is the pulsing part played by the baritone sax (a bass clarinet is also possible). Here is a fine piece of swing music!

Hot Toddy (Un grog) est un classique du répertoire pour Big Band. Le compositeur Ralph Flanagan (1914 1995) était un chef d'orchestre connu aux Etats-Unis. Ce morceau très populaire faisait partie du répertoire de nombreux orchestres dont celui de Glenn Miller. On remarque la partie palpitante de saxophone baryton qui peut également être jouée à la clarinette basse. Voici un splendide morceau de swing !

Hot Toddy (Hete Grog) is een zogenaamde evergreen in de big-band wereld. De componist, Ralph Flanagan (1914 1995) was zelf een succesvol bandleader in Amerika. Het werkje was zeer populair en werd ook door andere bands o. a. Glenn Miller regelmatig gespeeld. Karakteristiek is de stuwende stem van de bariton sax die ook op basklarinet gespeeld kan worden. Een heerlijk swingend stukje muziek!
