A powerful fanfare leads towards a quiet passage with a very rhythmical motif that ends in a more lyrical central part. Then we have a trumpet solo accompanied by the soft woodwind sound and gradually all other instruments join in. A broad crescendo leads again to the already known swinging tune. The fanfare motif is the conclusion of this solemn piece.

Une puissante fanfare mène vers un passage léger marqué par un thème fort rythmé qui introduit une partie centrale plus calme. Puis, il y a un solo de trompette accompagné par les sonorités douces des bois. Un crescendo étendu nous ramène au thème rythmé. Le motif de la fanfare conclut la composition de façon majestueuse

Een krachtige fanfare leidt naar een vlotte passage met een sterk geritmeerd motief wat in een rustig middendeel uitmondt. Dan komt er een mooie solo voor trompet begeleid door de zachte klank van de houtblazers en dan komen alle overige instrumenten erbij. Een breed crescendo mondt opnieuw in de al bekende swingend melodie uit. Het fanfaremotief sluit dit feestelijke plechtige werk af.
