Quincy Jones composed this bossa nova for his 1962 album Big Band Bossa Nova. The song has later been featured in many movies, TV series and even as music for computer games! Many of us remember Soul Bossa Nova as the main theme from the Austin Powers movies, but it was also featured as the title music for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
The music is excellent for a concert band. With solo and improvisation options for flute, alto sax and trombone, it is a perfect choice for any show!
