The Belgian composer and conductor Pieter Leemans (1897-1980) composed the world famous 'March of the Belgian Paratroopers « (or Parachutists) in one single night after having paid a visit to this newly created regiment .At the commanding officer's request, he gave the march an Anglo-Belgian character, due to the role of the British unit as to the creation of the Belgian regiment. It was premiered by the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides, conducted by Franz Wangermée at a radio concert in the Brussels concert hall 'Palais des Beaux-Arts' on the occasion of the anniversary of 'D-Day' on 8 May 1946.

Le compositeur et chef d'orchestre belge Pierre Leemans (1897-1980) a écrit la célébrissime 'Marche des Parachutistes belges' en une seule nuit après une visite à ce régiment peu de temps après sa création. A la demande du commandant du régiment, cette marche a un caractère anglo-belge, vu le rôle joué par l'unité anglaise à la naissance du régiment belge. Cette marchefut créée par la Musique Royale des Guides sous la direction de Wangermée lors d'un concert radiophonique au Palais des Beaux-Arts, à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de la Libération le 8 mai 1946.

De Belgische dirigent en componist Pieter Leemans (1897-1980) schreef zijn wereldberoemde 'Mars der Belgische Parachutisten' gedurende de nacht na een bezoek aan dit regiment kort na zijn oprichting tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Op verzoek van de regimentscommandant kreeg de mars een 'Anglo-Belgisch karakter, gezien de Britse eenheid aan de wieg van het Belgische regiment stond. De mars werd gecreëerd door de Koninklijke Muziekkapel van de Gidsen o.l.v. Franz Wangermée tijdens een radioconcert in het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten ter gelegenheid van de herdenking van 'V-Day' op 8 mei 1946 en was ondertussen reeds als officiële mars van het regiment erkend.
