During the seventies Jerry Leiber was a member of several popular groups such as The Coasters and The Drifters. He composed some film music, such as the hit song 'Jailhouse Rock' for Elvis Presley. His popular song 'Spanish Harlem' has been recorded by many famous orchestras. Thanks to Willy Hautvast's arrangement it is now also part of the wind band repertoire.

Jerry Leiber faisait partie de plusieurs groupes populaires des années 70, tels The Coasters et The Drifters. Il a également écrit de la musique de film, entre autres pour Elvis Presley il a écrit le célèbre tube 'Jailhouse Rock'. Sa chanson populaire 'Spanish Harlem' a été enregistrée par de nombreux orchestres réputés. Cet arrangement de Willy Hautvast place ce tube également au répertoire de nos orchestres d'harmonie.

Jerry Leiber behoorde in de zeventiger jaren tot diverse populaire groepen zoals The Coasters en The Drifters. Hij schreef ook filmmuziek zo o.a. voor Elvis Presley de bekende 'Jailhouse Rock'. Zijn succesnummer 'Spanish Harlem' werd door diverse bekende orkesten op de plaat gezet. Met dit arrangement van Willy Hautvast ligt het nu ook binnen het bereik van onze harmonieorkesten.
