An easy but most appealing suite in three parts. I. Intrada: a stately procession of the king's court going to battle in a solemn march temp; II. Sad Song: a sorrowful ballad in ¾ expresses the distress of the ladies in the absence of their beloved knight; and III. Glorious March: a triumphal march illustrates the victorious return of the King and his courageous knights who defeated the enemy. A simple but very evocative suite.

Une suite facile mais fascinante en trois parties. I. Intrada: un cortège solennel avec toute la cour qui défile avant de partir en guerre; II. Sad Song: une chanson triste en ¾ exprime le chagrin des dames de la cour en l'absence de leurs chevaliers servants; et III. Glorious March: une marche victorieuse accompagne le retour triomphal du roi et de ses chevaliers qui ont vaincu l'ennemi. Une pièce plutôt évocatrice.

Een eenvoudige maar leuke suite in drie delen. I. Intrada: een plechtige optocht van de hele hofhouding die ten strijde trekt in een statig marstempo; II. Sad Song: een droevig lied in ¾ maat drukt het verdriet uit van de dames bij afwezigheid van hun geliefde ridders; en III. Glorious March: een overwinningsmars illustreert de triomfantelijke terugkeer van de Koning en zijn ridders die de vijand verslagen hebben. Een niet moeilijk maar wel evocatief stuk.
