Pat Metheny is the master at composing moving, gorgeous ballads, and Too Soon Tomorrow is no exception. This is on the CD Imaginary Day by the Pat Metheny Group. Bob Curnow has orchestrated it in a sensitive and effective manner, featuring tenor saxophone and flugelhorn throughout. The arrangement was premiered with Carl Saunders (flugelhorn) and Bill Perkins (tenor saxophone) doing the honors.
