In 1936, Oskar Lindberg heard a song at a church service in Gagnef (Dalecarlia). Based on the melody of the song, he wrote an organ piece which he called "Gammal fäbodpsalm från Dalarna". A magnificent melody full of sadness and loss that maybe reflects the experiences of the people in the old peasant culture. Fäbod means a kind of old farm.

[NO]I 1936 hørte Oskar Lindberg en sang på en gudstjeneste i Gagnef (Dalarna). Basert på melodien til sangen, skrev han et orgelverk som han kalte "Gammal fäbodpsalm från Dalarna". En praktfull melodi full av vemod og savn som kanskje gjenspeiler opplevelsene til menneskene i den gamle bondekulturen. Fäbod betyr en slags seter.
