The Norwegian composer Olav Berg (b. 1949) has been a full-time composer since 1982. His most well-known work is Poseidon for orchestra from 1982, a work that has won him critical acclaim both in Norway and abroad. This work from 1980, Blowing, was originally written for wind band. It was commissioned by the Royal Norwegian Navy Band as a part of the band's 160th anniversary the same year.

Blowing er et originalskrevet verk for blåseorkeser i 1980. Det ble bestilt av- og skrevet til Kongelige Norske Marines Musikkorps og deres 160-års jubileum samme år.
