With Walking with You, Nico Samitz presents a new work for brass quintet. For more than ten years he has been composing for the ensemble BlechReiz BrassQuintett, in which he performs as trumpet player and pianist, exploring styles ranging from classical music to jazz and meditative soundscapes. Shaped by his studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg and his orchestral experience, Walking with You focuses on musical communication and the expression of emotions that are difficult to put into words.

Met Walking with You presenteert Nico Samitz een nieuw werk voor koperkwintet. Al meer dan tien jaar componeert hij voor het BlechReiz BrassQuintett, waarin hij zelf trompet en piano speelt, met een brede stilistische horizon van klassiek tot jazz en meditatieve muziek. Geïnspireerd door zijn opleiding aan het Mozarteum Salzburg en zijn orkestervaring staat in Walking with You het muzikale communiceren van persoonlijke gevoelens centraal.
