Michel van Delft should be considered as the inventor of the so-called 'play-ins'. These are meetings lasting for one or several days and gathering musicians from several wind bands into one big occasional wind band with the sole aim of making music together. This hymn is a symbol for the friendships that grow very spontaneously at those musical meetings.

Michel van Delft peut être considéré comme l'inventeur des 'play-in' (stages musicaux pour orchestres à vent). Il s'agit de rencontres d'une ou de plusieurs journées où des musiciens, en provenance de différents orchestres, forment un grand orchestre occasionnel, ayant pour seul but de faire de la musique en commun. Cet hymne symbolise l'amitié qui naît spontanément lors d'une telle rencontre musicale.

Dit zijn één of meerdaagse bijeenkomsten waarbij spelers afkomstig uit verschillende orkesten een groot gelegenheidsorkest formeren met als enige doel met elkaar te musiceren.Deze hymn symboliseert de vriendschap die tijdens zo'n play-in al spoedig heel spontaan ontstaat.
