L'ouverture Terra di Montagne (Pays des Montagnes) est un hommage au paysage montagneux magnifique du Tirol. Le morceau commence avec une fanfare puissante, suivie d'un Allegro con Brio. Après un mouvement central tranquille, dans lequel le cornet solo est le centre d'attention, s'ensuit le thème du début, qui aboutit en une finale grandiose.
