The Matterhorn (Italian Monte Cervino) is one of the highest mountains in the Alps, with an altitude of 4478 meters. It's striking figure and history makes it one of the most famous mountains in the world. Zermatt, the picturesque and romantic ski resort in the Matter valley is the departure point and best view of the Matterhorn. Many tourists visit this beautiful area. The Matterhorn has been both attracting and daunting climbers and tourists for more than 150 years.
