The piece describes the fateful journey of whaler Captain Ahab, who blinded by hatred, hunts the seas for the white whale, Moby Dick, who tore off his leg. The parts are: Overture, Captain Ahab, Deep Blue Sea, The White Whale and Hymn to the Sea.
