Schon länger hat mich die irische Musik fasziniert, einerseits die fliessenden Jigs und Reels, andererseits aber auch die melodiösen und schön-
traurigen Balladen. Mein Werk CELTIC FORCE basiert auf drei traditionellen Volksliedern aus Irland. Das erste, eine lebhafte Jig, fand ich in einer
Liedersammlung für die Great Highland Bagpipe, den schottischen Dudelsack. Die Ballade «Ar Éirinn Ní Neosfainn Cé Hí», was aus dem Gälischen
übersetzt so viel heisst wie «Für Irland würde ich ihren Namen nicht nennen», bestreitet den Mittelteil. Für den dritten Teil meines Werks verwendete
ich das lebhafte Lied «Tell Me Ma», welches durch die Irische Folksgruppe «The Young Dubliners» wohl einigen bekannt sein dürfte.



Irish music has fascinated me for quite some time, on the one hand the flowing jigs and reels, on the
other hand the melodious and beautifully sad ballads.
My work CELTIC FORCE is based on three traditional folk songs from Ireland. The first, a lively
jig, I found in a song collection for the Great Highland Bagpipe, the Scottish bagpipe. The
ballad «Ar Éirinn Ní Neosfainn Cé Hí», which translates from Gaelic as «For Ireland I would not
mention her name», denies the middle part. For the third part of my work I used the lively song
«Tell Me Ma», which should be known to some by the Irish folk group «The Young Dubliners».



La musique irlandaise me fascine depuis longtemps, dune part les gigues et les bobines qui
coulent, dautre part les ballades mélodieuses et joliment tristes. Mon oeuvre CELTIC FORCE est
basé sur trois chansons folkloriques traditionnelles dIrlande. La première, une gigue vivante, je
lai trouvée dans une collection de chansons pour la cornemuse irlandaise. La ballade Ar Éirinn Ní
Neosfainn Cé Hí, qui se traduit du gaélique par je ne dirais pas son nom pour lIrlande, nie la partie
centrale. Pour la troisième partie de ma composition, jai utilisé la chanson vivante Tell Me Ma, qui
devrait être connue de certains par le groupe folk irlandais The Young Dubliners.
