One morning everything went wrong in Zourfaroka. In this forest where thousands of magical beings live, everything sparkles and shines and is full of life. But not this morning, because the terrible troll Potugor has returned. This is the opening text for the musical fairy tale written by Lise Jeanbourquin and set to music by her husband Marc Jeanbourquin. The first part is a warlike setting, showing the preparations of Kirielo and the inhabitants of Zourfaroka for the battle with Potugor. On the way they meet the fairy Xeriole, and this meeting is put to music in the second part. The soloist's role in the first few bars is left to the choice of the conductor. And as in many fairy tales, with fairies, gnomes, and amazing magical creatures, the piece ends in the third part with everyone coming together in song and dance.

' Un matin, à Zourfaroka, rien ne va plus. Dans cette forêt où habitent des milliers de créatures magiques, tout étincèle, tout brille, tout vit. Mais ce matin-là, rien ne va plus car cette nuit l'horrible Trolle Potugor est de retour. ' C'est par ces mots que débute le 1er conte musical écrit par Lise Jeanbourquin et mis en musique par son mari, Marc Jeanbourquin. Le 1er mouvement, très marital, illustre les préparatifs de Kirielo et des habitants de Zourfaroka pour aller se combattre Potugor. En chemin, ils rencontrent la fée Xériole, mise en musique dans le 2ème mouvement de l'uvre. Le rôle du soliste des premières mesures est laissé au choix du directeur. Comme de nombreuses histoires de fées, de lutins et de personnages merveilleux, dans le 3ème mouvement, tout se termine en chants et en danses.

'Op een ochtend gaat alles mis in Zourfaroka. In dit bos, waar duizenden magische wezens wonen, glanst en glinstert alles en is alles vol leven. Maar deze ochtend gaat niets zoals het hoort want die nacht is de verschrikkelijke Trol Potugor teruggekomen'. Met deze woorden begint het eerste muzikale sprookje geschreven door Lise Jeanbourquin en op muziek gezet door haar man Marc Jeanbourquin. Het eerste, krijgshaftige deel illustreert de voorbereidingen van Kirielo en de inwoners van Zourfaroka om Potugor te gaan bestrijden. Op weg komen ze de fee Xériole tegen, deze ontmoeting wordt in het tweede deel op muziek gezet. De rol van solist in de eerste maten wordt overgelaten aan de keus van de dirigent. Zoals in veel sprookjesverhalen met feeën, kabouters en wonderbaarlijke personages, eindigt in het derde deel alles in zang en dans.
