A Legend from Yao Mao Yuan / Arr. Yeh Shu-Han

The Legend from Yao is based on the South Western Chines Yao people folk turn. Original composed by Prof. Mao YUAN for Symphony Orchestra. Also exist a Traditional Chinese Orchestra edition. In 1980 when Yeh Shu-Han - the arranger, forst cornet - player of the C.Y.C. Youth Band, was invited to have tour concerts in U.S.A., he arranged this piece for concert band. Won a big succes at the first performance. Since then, this arrangement is the most popular band repertoire for Taiwanese bands. The C.Y.C Band played this piece throughout Asia, U.S.A. for many years.
