The German composer Manfred Schneider (Ketsert am Rhein, 1953) has played the French horn in the Koblenz Police Band for many years. His band compositions such as Rock and Go, Splashing Sounds and Songs of Freedom have first been performed and promoted by several German Police Bands. Schneider writes sparkling and rhythmical music that sounds very up-to-date. This is also the case with these «Three American Snapshots» in which the composer draws three atmospheric portraits resulting from a trip to America. With some imagination the listener can dream a similar trip.

Le compositeur allemand Manfred Schneider (Ketsert am Rhein, 1953) a longtemps été corniste à la Musique de la Police de Coblence. Ses compositions, parmi lesquelles, Rock and Go, Splashing Sounds et Songs of Freedom ont initialement été propagées par les différents orchestres d'harmonie des corps de police en Allemagne. Schneider écrit de la musique énergique et fortement rythmée qui est bien adaptée à notre époque. C'est également le cas en ce qui concerne «Three American Snapshots» (Trois portraits américains), une composition dans laquelle Schneider donne trois impressions sonores inspirées par un voyage aux Etats-Unis. Avec un peu d'imagination, l'auditeur peut faire le même voyage en rêve.

De Duitse componist Manfred Schneider (Ketsert am Rhein, 1953) was lange tijd als hoornist werkzaam bij de politiekapel van Koblenz. Zijn composities zoals 'Rock and Go', 'Splashing Sounds', 'Songs of Freedom' werden aanvankelijk door diverse Duitse politie-orkesten gepropageerd. Schneider staat garant voor pittige en sterk ritmische muziek die eigentijds aandoet. Dit is ook het geval voor deze 'Three American Snapshots' waarin de componist drie sfeerbeelden van een Amerikareis weergeeft. Met wat verbeelding kan de luisteraar in de reis wegdromen.
