Ce concerto pour trompette est, comme son titre l'indique, un mélange de styles. Le premier mouvement a un caractère martial qui nous rappelle le concerto de Haydn. Le deuxième mouvement est très lyrique et permet une démonstration du caractère concertant de la trompette. Le mouvement final est un allegro rythmique à consonance moderne qui permet au soliste de montrer ses capacités techniques. Voici une belle occasion pour mettre votre soliste en évidence.

Na een marziale introductie die ons aan Haydn herinnert, volgt een lyrisch deel dat het concerterende karakter van de trompet illustreert.
