Romanesco' ist ein symphonisches Gedicht über die Glaubenskriege des Mittelalters zwischen Christen und Mooren. Das Stück beginnt im Kloster mit Mönchsgesang, der unterbrochen wird, durch die eindringenden, als Narren verkleideten Mooren. Der zentrale Teil des Stückes ist ein Adagio Elegiaco' über die Verwüstung die das ganze Dorf getroffen hat. Immer mit den Hauptthemen als Leitmotiv, entwickelt sich das Stück im letzten Teil zu einer heroischen Schlacht. Der Charakter des Stücks wird geprägt durch die Modalität und Polyrhythmik der mittelalterlichen Musik. Auf dem internationalen Wettbewerb für Blasorchester in Ateneu Vilafranquense, bekam Romaneso' den größten Applaus des Publikums und höchste Anerkennung der internationalen Jury.

Romanesco is a Symphonic Poem of an epic narrative depicting the medieval fights between the Christians and Moors. It begins with the plain-chant of the monks, inside the walls of the monastery who are then interrupted by the arrival of the Moors entering the walls disguised as jongleurs, and thereby provoking a battle. The central section is a Adagio Elegiaco, where our hero travels all over the village and laments all the destruction. Relying strongly on the main themes, the last section develops into the glorious final battle. This work is predominantly based around the environment modal and the polyrhythmic characteristics of medieval music. Conducted by the composer with his own band in the Ateneu Vilafranquense International Wind Band Contest, Romanesco achieved the biggest applause and the highest recognition of the public and the international jury.

Romanesco est un poème symphonique, basé sur une narration décrivant des batailles médiévales entre Chrétiens et Maures. Cette pièce commence avec un plein-chant de moines, dans un monastère, interrompu par l'arrivée de Maures qui s'infiltrent déguisés en jongleurs et provoquent une bataille. La partie centrale est un Adagio Elegiaco, où notre héros voyage à travers tout le village et se lamente sur les destructions. Fortement basée sur les thèmes principaux, la section finale se développe jusqu'à l'ultime bataille. Cette pièce est basée sur l'environnement modal et polyrhytmique caractéristique de l'époque médiévale. Dirigé par le compositeur avec son propre ensemble lors du « Ateneu Vilafranquense International Wind Band Contest », cette pièce a rencontré un grand succès au niveau du publique et du jury international.

Romanesco is een symfonisch gedicht van een epos over de middeleeuwse strijd tussen de christenen en de moren. Het begint met monnikengezang, binnen de muren in het convent, onderbroken door de komst van de moren, die, vermomd als jongleurs, de muren binnendringen en beginnen te vechten. Het centrale deel is een Adagio Elegiaco, waar onze held het door het dorp gaat en schreeuwt om de vernietiging. Steeds met de hoofdthema's als basis, mondt het laatste gedeelte uit in het glansrijke slotgevecht. In het werk overheerst de modaliteit en de poly-ritmische kenmerken van de middeleeuwse muziek. Uitgevoerd door de componist (die tevens zijn eigen band leidt) op het internationale concours voor blaasorkesten in Ateneu Vilafranquense, kreeg Romanesco het grootste applaus en de grootste erkenning van het publiek en de internationale jury.
