Die Suite Arogno' stellt die Geschichte dieses kleinen Alpendorfes in der Nähe von Italien dar. Der erste Teil beschreibt die Reise des Baumeisters Adamo da Arogno nach Trento wo er die Kathedral bauen wird (13. Jahrhundert). Der zweite Teil feiert den Eintritt von Arogno zur schweizerischen Konföderation im Jahre 1516. Im dritten Teil hört man die Invasion der österreichischen Truppen (1799). Der vierte Teil beschreibt den Umzug einer vollständigen Uhrenfabrik aus dem Jura Kanton nach Arogno (1873). Der letzte Teil stellt die Ankunft des ersten Postwagens in Arogno 1925 dar.

The 'suite Arogno' is a musical evocation of the history of this small village on the Alps, at the border with Italy. The first movement describes the travel of architect Adamo da Arogno to Trento where he will build the cathedral (13th century). The second movement celebrates the entry of Arogno into the Swiss Confederation in 1516. In the third movement you can hear the invasion of the Austrian troops in 1799. The fourth movement describes the complex move of a complete clock factory from the Jura Canton to Arogno in 1873 and the last movement evokes the arrival of the first postal car in 1925.

La suite 'Arogno' évoque l'histoire de ce petit village alpin tout proche de la frontière italienne. La première partie décrit le voyage de l'architecte Adamo da Arogno vers Trente où il bâtira la cathédrale (13ème siècle). La deuxième partie célèbre l'adhésion d'Arogno à la Confédération Suisse en 1516. Dans la troisième partie on entend l'invasion des troupes autrichiennes en 1799. La quatrième partie évoque le déménagement d'une usine d'horloges du Canton du Jura vers Arogno en 1873. La dernière partie décrit l'arrivée de la première malle-poste à Arogno en 1925.

De Suite Arogno' evoceert de geschiedenis van dit kleine Alpendorp dicht bij Italië. Het eerste deel beschrijft de reis van architect Adamo da Arogno naar Trento waar hij de kathedraal zal bouwen (13de eeuw). Het tweede deel viert de toetreding van Arogno tot de Zwitserse Confederatie in 1516. In het derde deel hoort men de invasie van de Oostenrijkse troepen in 1799. In het vierde deel wordt de complexe verhuis van een complete uurwerkfabriek vanuit het Jura Kanton naar Arogno beschreven, terwijl het laatste deel de aankomst van de allereerste postwagen in 1925 beschrijft.
