March of the Norwegian Veterans was written in 2012 for the Liberation Day commemoration 8th of May.
From 2011, 8th of May was not only the Liberation Day, but also the official veterans day in Norway. The Commemorations on the Akershus Fortress and other places around the country was extended from that year to also honor the Norwegian Veterans.
The march was first performed by The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces with His Majesty King Harald V, the Prime Minister and several other prominent persons in the audience.

[NO]Norsk Veteranmarsj ble skrevet til 8. mai markeringen i 2012. Fra 2011 ble 8. mai i tillegg til å være frigjøringsdagen, også den offisielle veterandagen i Norge. Markeringene på Akershus festning og andre steder i landet ble utvidet i forhold til tidligere markeringer.
Marsjen ble urfremført av Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps med Hans Majestet Kong Harald V, statsminister Jens Stoltenberg, daværende forsvarsminister Espen Barth Eide, daværende forsvarssjef General Harald Sunde og en mengde veteraner i alle aldre tilstede.
