Met deze compositie neemt José Alberto Pina ons mee naar het oude Rome. Pompeii, met name in het jaar 79 na Chr. waarin de Vesuvius uitbarstte. Het werk is episch en adelijk en vol mysterie. We vluchten om te ontsnappen aan de grote explosie van de vulkaan. Een perfecte compositie zowel voor concert als wedstrijd dankzij het lyrische van de houtblazers en het spektakel van het koper en de percussie.
