Blu is a tame Macaw parrot who never learned to fly. He enjoys a comfortable life and thinks he is the last of his kind, but in exotic Rio, lives Jewel, who is a female of his kind. Together with his owner Linda, he travels to the other side of the world in order to meet Jewel. In Rio, Blu goes on the adventure of a lifetime. The wonderful soundtrack from John Powell, who is also known for Ice Age, and How to Train Your Dragon, is a wonderful mix of not only latin, rumba and samba styles, but also big classic film music.
