The theme is stated contrapuntally leading to the first ensemble figure which is a send-off to the bass solo. Similar ensemble material is then used as a send-off for the alto solo (optional written solos are provided for both soloists). The opening vamp material is then used for the final ensemble before the restatement of the theme.
