America Forever March

America Forever March Jim Colonna / Arr. Jim Colonna

America Forever was composed on the night of the bombing of the United States navel base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (December 7, 1941) and was heard regularly on the weekly national radio broadcasts of the United States Marine Band (fhe President's Own) throughout World War II. It was originally pubHshed by the highly successful Volkwein Brothers Music publishing company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
This rousing march is in traditional march fonn and brings forth the patriotic fervor that the composer must have felt on that day that would later be described as 'a date that will Jive in infamy' by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This 'Symphonic Band Series' version represents the original version of the march.
