The inspiration to this piece comes from the composer's impression of the beautiful Bohuslän coast, more precise the island of Hälsö in the Gothenburg archipelago. Here the Nordic light appears in a particular way against the barren rocks sticking out of the sea during calm and clear summer evenings. The piece is dedicated to the memory of Åke Edefors (1945-2014) who was a great enthusiast in the music life of Gothenburg and who lived on the island of Hälsö.

[NO]Inspirationen till detta stycke kommer från kompositörens intryck av den vackra Bohusländska kusten, närmare bestämt Hälsö i Göteborgs skärgård. Här framträder under vackra sommarkväller det nordiska ljuset på ett alldeles särskilt sätt mot de karga klipporna som sticker upp ur havet. Stycket är tillägnat minnet av Åke Edefors (1945-2014) som var en stor eldsjäl inom det göteborgska blåsmusiklivet och som bodde på Hälsö.
