Everybody knows the very popular song 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo', actually a thirteenth century French carol called 'Les Anges dans nos Campagnes' (The angels in our countryside). Jef Penders (1928) wrote the Dutch text and the arrangement for choir and wind band.

Iedereen kent zeker ook wel het populaire lied 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo', in feite een dertiende-eeuws Kerstlied uit Frank-rijk getiteld 'Les Anges dans nos Campagnes'. Jef Penders (1928) maakte de Nederlandse tekst en het arrangement voor blaasorkest en koor.
