Adagio

Adagio Georg Philipp Telemann / Arr. Ivo Kouwenhoven

Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 1767) was a German Baroque composer, organist, and conductor. He is argulably the most productive composer in history. This adagio, which Ivo Kouwenhoven has transcribed for small wind band, is from the Trumpet Concerto No. 1 in D major. Ivo Kouwenhoven choose to orchestrate not for a soloist, but rather for groups of instruments playing together. This is a wonderful adaptation of beautiful music.
