For many years he was principal bassoonist with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Sabine Meyer Wind Ensemble. He was professor at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Weimar. Since 2001 he has been professor of bassoon and chamber music at the Cologne Academy of Music, also teaching international master classes.

Die gezielte Konzentration auf einzelne Teilaspekte des Fagottspiels hilft, Fehler und Ungenauigkeiten des eigenen Spiels leichter zu erkennen und gezielt zu verbessern. Georg Klütsch, geb. 1951 in Düren, studierte Schulmusik in Mainz und Fagott bei Prof. Helman Jung in Detmold. Er war langjähriger Solofagottist der Bamberger Symphoniker und Mitglied des Sabine MeyerBläser Ensembles. Als Professor an der Franz Liszt Musikhochschule in Weimar gelang es ihm innerhalb kurzer Zeit eine erfolgreiche Klasse aufzubauen. Seit 2001 ist er Professor für Fagott und Kammermusik an der Kölner Musikhochschule und gibt internationale Meisterkurse.
