Inspired by the Latin word validus, composer Gary Gazlay brings us Strong,
Mighty, Powerful, an inspiring and poignant aural journey. Timpani and low
brass set a deliberate pace in the opening of this stirring piece. The first
motif alternates with a lilting theme shared by woodwinds and brass, and all
the elements coalesce in a rousing third section.
