Frode Thingnæs was one of the Grand Old Men of the Norwegian Military Bands. This march was commissioned by the Norwegian Air Force to it's 50 years anniversary in 1994.
There was a wish tht the march should give associations to Glenn Miller, a wish that Thingnæs put into the trio part of the march in the most elegant manner.

[NO]Denne marsjen var en bestilling fra Luftforsvaret i anledning 50-årsjubileet i 1994. Den ble første gang fremført under jubileumsmarkeringen på Det Norske Teatret.
Det var et ønske om at marsjen skulle gi assosiasjoner til Glenn Miller, noe Thingnæs elegant har lagt inn i marsjens triodel.
