Alle Jahre wieder, Ihr Kinderlein kommet, O du fröhliche, Süßer die Glocken nie klingen and Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht, (Silent Night Holy Night), all well-known traditional German songs, are presented in a new and most tuneful varied medley. Thanks to the cue notes, the passages intended for large band can also be performed by smaller ensembles in a most satisfactory way. The alternative orchestral strengths are clearly indicated in the score. The piece can easily be performed without saxophones and without (French) horns. Of the four percussion parts (timpani, percussion with triangle, rattles and tambourine, drum set and mallets with (tubular bells), the combined percussion is indispensable.

Alle Jahre wieder, Ihr Kinderlein kommet, O du fröhliche, Süßer die Glocken nie klingen et Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht (Douce Nuit, Sainte Nuit) sont tous des airs traditionnels allemands connus. Les voici dans un nouvel arrangement fort mélodieux. Grâce aux petites notes, la pièce peut également être jouée par de plus petits orchestres tout en sonnant bien. Les différentes possibilités de formations instrumentales sont clairement indiquées dans le conducteur. La pièce peut facilement se jouer sans saxophones ni cors. Des quatre parties de percussion (timbales, percussion avec triangle, crécelles et tambourin, batterie et instruments mélodiques) seule la percussion combinée est indispensable.

Alle Jahre wieder, Ihr Kinderlein kommet, O du fröhliche, Süßer die Glocken nie klingen en Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht, alle gekende en op traditie gebaseerde Duitse wijsjes, worden hier in een nieuw en melodisch gevarieerd melodieboeket gepresenteerd. De passages voor grote bezetting geschreven kunnen dank zij de invulnoten ook door kleinere orkesten goed klinkend uitgevoerd worden. De alternatieve bezettingsmogelijkheden zijn in de volledige directiepartituur opgenomen. Het werk kan gemakkelijk zonder saxofoons en zonder hoorns gespeeld worden. Van de vier slagwerkpartijen (pauken, percussie met triangel, ratels en tamboerijn, drumstel en mallets met (Klokken) moet tenminste het gecombineerde slagwerk bezet zijn.
