Franz Krommer (1759-1831) was one of the most popular composers of his time, but almost completely fell into oblivion afterwards - maybe as a result of the way historic reports of the 19th century mainly concentrated on the cultivation of genii. His rediscovery presents us with works in which the classical form is combined with a traditional catchy expression and which show an independent personality by their wittiness, colour and harmonic pecularities. The new edition presented here is based on the first print of the solo part and the orchestra parts published in 1803 by Johann André, Offenbach.

Concerto pour flûte en sol majeur op. 30

Franz Krommer (1759 - 1831) fait partie des compositeurs les plus populaires de son temps. L'oubli total dans lequel Krommer tomba pour longtemps est dû au culte du génie vers lequel s'orienta l'histoire de la musique au 19ème siècle. Sa redécouverte nous offre des ?uvres unissant la forme classique à une expression populaire facilement compréhensible et révélant une personnalité propre par son esprit, sa couleur et ses particularités harmoniques. La nouvelle édition présentée ici se base sur la première impression de la partie solo et des parties d'orchestre parue en 1803 chez Johann André à Offenbach.
