The young Spanish conductor and composer Ferrer Ferran is a pupil of Jef Penders. He conducts the symphonic band of the Valencia Conservatory of Music and the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta. For this three-part suite for symphonic band Youth Funky Ferran was inspired by today's rhythms and sounds. The lyrical middle part Sentimentale, dedicated to Sonia, links the joyful first part Sintonia with the rhythmical third part Funky. A thrilling composition for both the young and the young at heart.

Le jeune chef d'orchestre et compositeur espagnol Ferrer Ferran est un élève de Jef Penders. Il dirige l'orchestre d'harmonie du conservatoire de Valencia et la Banda Primitiva de Paiporta. Dans cette suite en trois parties pour orchestre d'harmonie Youth Funky, Ferran s'est inspiré des rythmes et des sonorités de notre époque moderne. La partie centrale lyrique Sentimentale, dédiée à Sonia, forme un pont entre la première partie à caractère joyeux Sintonia et la troisième partie plutôt rythmique Funky. Voici une belle oeuvre pour les 'jeunes' de tous les âges.

De jonge Spaanse dirigent en componist Ferrer Ferran is een leerling van Jef Penders. Hij dirigeert het harmonieorkest van het conservatorium van Valencia en de Banda Primitiva van Paiporta. In deze driedelige suite voor harmonieorkest Youth Funky liet Ferran zich door hedendaagse ritmes en klanken inspireren. Het lyrische middendeel Sentimentale, opgedragen aan Sonia, verbindt het opgewekte eerste deel Sintonia met het ritmische derde deel Funky. Een leuk werk voor al wie 'jong van hart is'.
