The Simoon Concerto is a two part composition for alto saxaphone and wind orcehstra. The first part, Dance of the Dunes, describes how the sand dunes form and alter their shape due to the scorching desert winds. In the following section, Dance of the Tuaregs, the snare drum signals the start of the dance of the legendary nomadic desert dwellers. The proud Tuareg people dance according to the ancient traditional rhythms of their ancestors

Le Concerto del Simún est une composition en deux mouvements pour saxophone alto et harmonie. Dans le premier mouvement, Danse des Dunes, on décrit comment le vent brûlant du désert peut changer la forme et la vue des dunes. Dans le mouvement suivant, Danse des Touaregs, la petite caisse donne le départ pour la danse de ces nomades du désert légendaires. Le peuple fier des Touaregs danse selon les anciens rythmes traditionnels de leurs ancêtres.

Het Simoon Concerto is een 2-delige compositie voor altsaxofoon en harmonieorkest. In het eerste deel, Dans Der Duinen, wordt beschreven hoe de verzengend hete woestijnwind de vorm en het uitzicht van de duinen kan wijzigen. In het volgende deel, Dans Der Toearegs, geeft de kleine trom de start voor de dans van deze legendarische nomadische woestijnbewoners aan. Het trotse volk der Toearegs danst volgens de oeroude traditionele ritmes van hun voorouders. Deze dansen bevorderen het welzijn en het samenhorigheidsgevoel van de stamleden.
