Winter Wonderland was written in 1934 by the american composers Felix Bernard and Dick Smith. The song is often regarded as a Christmas song, although the lyrics has nothing with Christmas time at all.
Dick Smith from Honesdale in Pennsylvania was inspired to write the song a winter day when he walked through his hometowns Central Park.
It was recorded later the same year by vocalist Richard Himber accompanied by his own Hotel Ritz-Carlton Orchestra.
