In 2014, Feike van Tuinen won the third prize in a composition competition organized by the Belgian music federation VLAMO, with his work Orlando. This work is based on the love song, Matona mia cara by the great composer Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594). Following the introduction are four variations where the composer takes us into the conflict between two lovers which fortunately has a happy ending. Playfully and colourfully orchestrated, this work is a nice addition to your music library.

Avec Orlando, Feike van Tuinen a obtenu un 3ième prix dans le concours de composition de la VLAMO en 2014. La base était le chant d'amour Matona mia Cara du fameux compositeur Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594). Après l'introduction s'ensuivent quatre variations dans lesquelles le compositeur nous emmène dans la querelle des deux amants' qui heureusement connaît une fin heureuse. L'instrumentation est enjouée et haute en couleur, ce qui en fait un joli atout pour bien des orchestres.

Met Orlando behaalde Feike van Tuinen in 2014 een derde prijs in een door de Belgische muziekbond VLAMO uitgeschreven compositiewedstrijd. Als basis voor dit werk diende het liefdeslied Matona Mia Cara van de grote componist Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594). Na de introductie volgen vier variaties waarin de componist ons meeneemt in de strijd der twee geliefden die gelukkig een happy end heeft. Speels en kleurrijk geïnstrumenteerd waarmee dit werk een mooie aanwinst is voor veel orkesten.
