Dirigent Feike van Tuinen studierte Kompositionslehre mit Daan Manneke am Amsterdammer Sweelinck Musikkonservatorium. Ein Besuch des Schloßes Hever Castle' im Südosten von England inspirierte ihn zum Schreiben dieser Komposition für flexible Besetzung. Vier Teile führen uns ins Mittelalter zurück: I Entry of the royal family; II Dance of the playing children; III Walking through the garden, und IV Dancing in the ballroom.

Conductor Feike van Tuinen studied composition with Daan Manneke at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory of music. A visit to Hever Castle in the South-East of England inspired him to write this composition for flexible instrumentation. We make a walk in the past by means of four historical episodes: I Entry of the royal family; II Dance of the playing children; III Walking through the garden; and IV Dancing in the ballroom.
