Here is another fine piece by Ennio Salvere written on purpose for beginning bands or youth bands. The four movements contrast strongly, but each part appeals to both musicians and listeners. First we have the 'Crazy Calypso' (a dance rhythm originating from the West Indies) that reminds us of Harry Belafonte and steel band music. 'Song for you' is a quiet tuneful ballad; 'Lazy Latin' lets us enjoy a sparkling Boss nova rhythm, whereas the final part 'Great Escape' keeps everybody on the dance floor in a real Disco style. Nog een heel leuk werk van Ennio Salvere speciaal voor beginnende bands of jeugdorkesten geschreven. De vier delen contrasteren sterk, maar spreken elk op zich zowel muzikant als luisteraar aan. Eerst is er de 'Crazy Calypso' (met een van oorsprong West-Indisch ritme) dat zowel aan Harry Belafonte als aan steelbandmuziek doet denken. 'Song for you' is een rustige melodieuze ballade, 'Lazy Latin' laat ons van een pittig Bossanova ritme genieten, en het slotdeel 'Great Escape' houdt iedereen op de dansvloer in onvervalste Disco stijl.
