Commissioned by the Wilson Junior High School Band, El Centro, CA, Mitch Sturman, conductor, this profound work for concert band is a tribute to the composer's teacher and attempts to recapture all the energy and passion of Mr. Persichetti's music at the grade 2 level. This sounds much more difficult than it is due to the rhythmic vitality and strong melodic lines.
