This arrangement of Halling is an excerpt from the Lyric Pieces for Solo Piano op. 47 by Edvard Grieg. The same music also appears for solo violin in the music for Act 1 of Peer Gynt. The arranger has tried to keep the original form and original harmony, but the music is made more syncopated and the harmonics are extended at the second implementation.
This arrangement was performed for the first time at the opening ceremony for the 2011 World Ski Championships in Holmenkollen, Oslo, in February 2011.

[NO]Halling er hentet fra Lyriske stykker op. 47 for klaver solo av Edvard Grieg. Den samme hallingen er også å finne for solo fiolin i første akt av Peer Gynt. Arrangøren har forsøkt å beholde den opprinnelige formen og mye av den opprinnelige harmoniseringen, men gjort den mer synkopert og utvidet harmonisk på andre gjennomføring.
Dette arrangementet ble spilt offentlig første gang ved åpningsseremonien til Ski-VM i Oslo i februar 2011.
