Emerald Suite Dwayne S. Milburn

Each of the three movements of this work uses a particular section of the North Texas State Alma Mater as its formative material, since it was commissioned in honor of Dennis Fisher and his 25 years of service to the North Texas State community. Rondo is mostly in 7/8 and 6/8 time and is highly energetic, though it ends quietly. Air is gentle and lyrical as it builds to powerful climax, while March provides a perfect balance to the other movements and ends with great excitement!
