This upbeat concert work in ABA form celebrates the first mission to put men on the moon. The cheerful outer sections are in four while the lyrical B section is in three. Flutes are featured in the middle section before adding the rest of the band. The recapitulation features the percussion section in alternating measures with the band that builds to a big ending. Very exciting!
