This composition is perfect for youth orchestras as a study piece or competition programme. The instrumentation, with up to 10 voices, makes it also suitable for incomplete groups. The first and third movement, with a rhythmic character, are separated by the second movement where the lyric and expressive aspect is very much to the fore.
